Konglish : what you should know to stay in Korea

Konglish is the spoken English that Korean use.
(Konglish = Korean + English)
Usually the usage is same with English, but some situation it is very different.
So if you stay in Korea for a long time, you should know Konglish.

Here is some examples.

1. Set menu (셋트) = Combo menu
2. Air con (에어컨) = Airconditioning
3. Sel ca / Self camera (셀카) = Selfie
4. Notebook (노트북) = Laptop
5. One shot (원샷) = Bottom's up
6. Talent (탤런트) = Actor / Actress
7. Over eat (오바이트) = Vomit
8. gag (개그) / gag man / gag woman = Comedy / Comedian
9. Skinship (스킨쉽) = Physical affection
10. Hand Phone (핸드폰) = Cell Phone

When you go to Mcdonald's in Korea. You will see the set menu.
It is a little bit funny, but without knowing it you will have some difficult to ordering your food.

But once you know the meaning of Konglish word by word, you can easily memorize it.
Because it is based on English.

Konglish is Korean culture.
Just accept it. Then you will be more familiar to Korean Life.
