Konglish : what you should know to stay in Korea

Konglish is the spoken English that Korean use.
(Konglish = Korean + English)
Usually the usage is same with English, but some situation it is very different.
So if you stay in Korea for a long time, you should know Konglish.

Here is some examples.

1. Set menu (셋트) = Combo menu
2. Air con (에어컨) = Airconditioning
3. Sel ca / Self camera (셀카) = Selfie
4. Notebook (노트북) = Laptop
5. One shot (원샷) = Bottom's up
6. Talent (탤런트) = Actor / Actress
7. Over eat (오바이트) = Vomit
8. gag (개그) / gag man / gag woman = Comedy / Comedian
9. Skinship (스킨쉽) = Physical affection
10. Hand Phone (핸드폰) = Cell Phone

When you go to Mcdonald's in Korea. You will see the set menu.
It is a little bit funny, but without knowing it you will have some difficult to ordering your food.

But once you know the meaning of Konglish word by word, you can easily memorize it.
Because it is based on English.

Konglish is Korean culture.
Just accept it. Then you will be more familiar to Korean Life.

한국 교통카드 종류와 사용법

한국 여행을 준비할 때, 많은 사람들이 환전이나 숙소 예약부터 떠올리지만 실제로 현지에서 가장 자주 손에 쥐게 되는 건 교통카드다. 하루에도 몇 번씩 버스와 지하철을 오가게 되는 도시 구조라서, 이 작은 카드 하나가 여행의 흐름을 꽤 크게 좌우한다. 한국 교통카드, 왜 필요한가 한국의 대중교통은 대부분 “카드 태그 한 번”으로 끝난다. 현금을 매번 꺼낼 필요도 없고, 승차권을 따로 구매할 필요도 없다. 특히 서울과 수도권은 환승 할인 시스템이 잘 갖춰져 있어서, 버스 → 지하철 → 버스처럼 여러 번 갈아타도 추가 요금이 크게 붙지 않는다. 이 시스템 덕분에 동선만 잘 짜면 교통비를 꽤 아낄 수 있다. 대표 교통카드 3가지 한국에서 사용할 수 있는 교통카드는 몇 가지가 있지만, 실제로 많이 쓰이는 건 아래 세 가지다. 티머니 (T-money) 캐시비 (Cashbee) 레일플러스 (Rail+) 이 중에서 처음 방문하는 여행자라면 티머니 를 선택하는 게 가장 편하다. 전국 대부분 지역에서 사용할 수 있고, 가맹점도 가장 많다. 카드는 지하철역 자동판매기나 편의점에서 쉽게 구매할 수 있고, 가격은 디자인에 따라 보통 2,500원~4,000원 정도다. (캐릭터 카드나 한정판은 조금 더 비싼 경우도 있다) 충전 방법과 사용 범위 충전은 생각보다 단순하다. 편의점 (CU, GS25, 세븐일레븐 등) 지하철역 충전기 이 두 곳 중 아무 데서나 현금으로 충전하면 된다. 최소 충전 금액은 1,000원, 최대 보유 금액은 약 50만 원까지 가능하다. 요즘은 모바일 티머니 앱을 이용해서 신용카드나 계좌를 연결해 자동 충전도 설정할 수 있다. 또 하나 알아두면 좋은 점은, 이 카드가 단순 교통용이 아니라는 것이다. 편의점 결제 일부 카페 택시 요금 자판기 이런 곳에서도 사용할 수 있어서, 소액 결제용으로도 꽤 유용하다. 실제 사용 방법 (중요 포인트) 사용 방법 자체는 매우 직관적이다. 버스 탑승 시: 앞문에서 카드 태그 하차 시: 반드시 한 번 더 태그 지하철: 개찰구 입구/출구에...
